Fan-Made GREMLINS Short Is Perfect For This Holiday Season

Who Wants a GREMLINS Remake?

The 1984 classic is enjoyed by horror fans and is considered by many to be one of director Joe Dante‘s most brilliant films.

Today we have a cool short for Gremlins by Ryan Patrick who made an unofficial sequel and it is just the best and makes me want to see Gremlins 3 now! Gremlins Recall which picks up 30 years after the events of the 1984 film, and imagines a world where Mogwai have been trained enough to be sold as exotic pets. The catch is that the Mogwai have to be kept medicated so that they don’t turn into the deadly creatures that haunt the ordinary people.

Gremlins Recall was shot in just three days which is quite an achievement on its own and it uses majestic puppets designed by former Face Off contestant on Syfy, Eric Fox.

“Making a Gremlins film is an idea that’s been on my mind for over a year. It’s one of those films you want to see a good sequel to—but Hollywood just hasn’t done it yet. Everyone on this crew is a Gremlins super fan. We just wanted to take people back to that world, and show some cool Gremlin kills along the way.”
