Far Cry 6 has leaked on the Hong Kong PlayStation Store, showing off the Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito will star in the first-person shooter sequel.
The listing, which is removed now sheds some light on the setting for the new upcoming Ubisoft’s game. Far Cry 6 will take place in Yara, which is defined as a tropical paradise in need of restoration to its previous glory. Its brutal dictator, Anton Castillo, and his son Diego are on track to accomplishing that through any means necessary, lighting a revolution in the country.
Given the box art present in the listing, Esposito will likely be playing the role of Anton Castillo. The rest of the listing also revealed the upgrade path you can expect for next-gen consoles. Far Cry 6 will release on PS4 and PS5 and give out a free upgrade for digital purchases if you move from an older console to a newer one. This is like how Microsoft is handling upgrades with Smart Delivery on the Xbox Series X, but Ubisoft has yet to verify its support for the program.
According to the store page, Far Cry 6 will be released on February 18, 2021. Ubisoft is hosting its Ubisoft Forward stream this Sunday, July 12, where you can anticipate hearing more about this and more Ubisoft games such as Watch Dogs: Legion and Hyper Scape.
