According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hot Wheels movie has just hired Justin Lin (the Fast & Furious franchise, Star Trek Beyond.) Based on the Mattel toy car line has been in development since 2003.
Lin most recently directed this summer’s Star Trek Beyond, which was a hit with fans and critics but disappointed at the worldwide box office, becoming the lowest-grossing of Paramount’s franchise reboot trilogy.
