Last year’s Comic-Con revealed the first viral site for the upcoming RoboCop reboot.
The initial site teased the redesigned ED-209 that we’ll get to see in the film and a little more, but things have changed now.
Additions to the armory of OmniCorp (ominous slogan: “We’ve got the future under control”) include some scary-looking droids and another miscellaneous tech.
We have already seen some of the new high-tech gear including an amazing suit for the Robocop plus his new Bike.
Well to be honest I don’t understand why a happy lady is standing by the Robo and why that guy got a creepy smile standing by the bike?
The website, OmniCorp.com, has been updated to allow users to see even more of their products and what they’re capable of (Thanks to Gotham-News for pointing it out).
Besides, since it has been some time since we’ve heard about the film, star Joel Kinnaman spoke with Metro.co.uk about the film and how much it will surprise us.
“It was a great experience. Half of my scenes were with Gary Oldman, which was a dream come true. The director didn’t want to make a superhero movie – we made an action tragedy. It’s going to be a sad and exciting story with quite a bit of drama…The movie will surprise people.”
Director José Padilha’s slant on the cyber-copper gives Joel Kinnaman the title role, and that of his pre-injury, fully human version, Alex Murphy. Gary Oldman plays a scientist who helps convert Kinnaman’s cop into the cyborg officer, while Samuel L. Jackson as Pat Novak, a “charismatic TV mogul”, presumably with a touch of the Bill O’Reillys about him.
In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father, and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit.
After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues, a regular man has never had to face before. RoboCop opens on February 7, 2014.
What they are trying to tell us?, I don’t know can you explain? Should we be happy and waving to the upcoming govt. Drones?, This looks like a bad photoshop.
