First Look Photo of Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix in DC Sequel JOKER: FOLIE À DEUX

A first-look photo has been released from the DC sequel Joker: Folie à deux, featuring returning Joker actor Joaquin Phoenix and his new leading lady, Lady Gaga, who will play Harley Quinn. The pair are featured in the photo, shared by director Todd Phillips, with the caption “Happy Valentine’s Day.”

The movie, previously negotiated with Warner Bros., is part of DC Elseworlds franchise, meaning it’s a standalone project that will not intersect with the other DC films moving forward. The film also includes actors Catherine Keener, Brendan Gleeson, and Zazie Beetz.

Joker: Folie à deux is planned to premiere in theaters on October 4, 2024.
