Check out the first trailer of The Standoff at Sparrow Creek. The movie premiered at Fantastic Fest and received a lot of applause from the audience.
The trailer is riveting and immediately got my attention and kept me going. The story centers on a group of militia members who fall into a state of paranoia and anxiety after one of their members goes and shoots up a police funeral. The thing is, no one knows who did it and someone is hiding something.
Here’s the official synopsis:
After a mass shooting at a police funeral, reclusive ex-cop Gannon realizes that the killer belongs to the same militia he joined after quitting the force. Knowing the police will be closing in on them, Gannon quarantines his fellow militiamen in a remote lumber mill. There, he sets about a series of grueling interrogations, intent on ferreting out the killer and turning him over to the authorities to prevent further bloodshed.
The film was written and directed by Henry Dunham and also stars James Badge Dale, Brian Geraghty, Patrick Fischler, Chris Mulkey, Happy Anderson, and Robert Aramayo.
The movie will be released on January 18, 2019.
