The developer of the popular mobile game Flappy Bird just declared that he’s taking the game down tomorrow.
Dong Nguyen, an indie game developer based in Hanoi, Vietnam, tweeted, “I am sorry ‘Flappy Bird’ users, 22 hours from now, I will take ‘Flappy Bird’ down. I cannot take this anymore.” He then elaborated, “It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore.”
It was reported earlier that the game is making more then $50,000 a day in advertisements but numbers are all messed up and no one even sure how much the developer actually making from the game before he breaks and start asking for peace and want’s to get out.
It looks like he made an exact copy of the Mario pipes which is stupid as they were sure to hit him with a cease and desist or copyright infringement. He probably pulled it before legal action and will remove the copied pieces and sell it to one of the big distributors like Amazon.
He’s knows it’s highly derivative. Take a gander at this game. It’s been around since at least the early 2000′s.
So did you actually played and enjoyed that game? cz i did and couldn’t get more then 10 points and stopped playing it before i break my phone!
