Galaxy Quest TV Series in the Works

Paramount Television is developing the film Galaxy Quest for a television revival. Original movie Stars Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, Sam Rockwell, and Daryl Mitchell.

It is still not clear if the television series will be a sequel to the series or a reboot, but check back here for further details as we learn them. Talk of a sequel to the film has been discussed previously though nothing has previously materialized. A comic book sequel titled Galaxy Quest: Global Warning debuted in 2009 and an ongoing series titled Galaxy Quest: The Journey Continues is currently being published.

Galaxy Quest which was released back in 1999 was conceived as a parody not only of the original “Star Trek” series but of the cult following that series has amassed over the years. The film centered on the cast of an old sci-fi television series recruited by a race of aliens believing them to be the characters they played on the series.
