George Clooney talked on Jimmy Kimmel Live about directing Damon in his new film Suburbicon. “We got Matt because we couldn’t afford Brad Pitt,” says Clooney, “Matt’s on that slide on the way down now so we got him at a pretty good discount.”
The two take adequate time away from insulting Matt Damon to talk about the inspiration behind Suburbicon, before coming back to Damon.
Clooney then says Damon insisted on filming in LA “probably because of the restraining orders.”
