GHOSTWIRE: TOKYO Received a New Game Mode

Ghostwire: Tokyo, the action-adventure game developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda, was one of the most highly anticipated games to launch in 2022. And it did not disappoint. With its unique gameplay and captivating story, Ghostwire: Tokyo quickly became a fan-favorite.

In Ghostwire: Tokyo, players take on the role of Akito, a young woman who possesses the ability to see and interact with spirits. As she explores the supernatural streets of Tokyo, Akito must use her skills to battle malevolent entities and uncover the mysteries behind the sudden disappearance of the city’s population.

And now, Ghostwire: Tokyo is getting even better with the addition of the Spider’s Thread game mode and a free update. The Spider’s Thread game mode is a challenging 30-stage gauntlet that will test players’ skills as they navigate through more than 120 hand-crafted levels. The goal is simple: get to the end. But achieving that goal will require players to unlock new skills and earn in-game currency to spend on upgrades.

The free update also adds new locations to the game, including the local Middle School area, which comes with new missions for players to take on and more mysteries to uncover. The main game’s story will also feature extended cutscenes, giving players a deeper look into the plot as they play through Akito and KK’s adventure to stop the menacing Hannya from destroying Tokyo. And there are new dangerous enemies to defeat, like the invisible Silent Gaze and elusive Retribution. To defeat these new enemies, Akito will receive new skills, including the Charge Rush and devastating Counter Attack.

And the good news doesn’t stop there. Xbox players will finally get to enjoy Ghostwire: Tokyo when it is released on Xbox Series X|S on April 12th. The free Spider’s Thread update will be available on all platforms, including PC via Steam and PlayStation 5. It will also be added to Game Pass for both PC and Xbox users.
