GREMLINS Remake is Moving Forward With New Writer

Gremlins

Deadline is reporting that Warner Bros. has hired Goosebumps and Disturbia screenwriter Carl Ellsworth to pen a new script for the film.

Christopher Columbus, who wrote the 1984 original, was being eyed as the director for a long time, but apparently he’s shifted over into a producer capacity for this one alongside Steven Spielberg, who executive produced the original. No director has been set yet.
