The majority of gamers who enjoy Grand Theft Auto games have probably already beat GTA 5 on PS3 or Xbox 360. Rockstar would love those millions of consumers to purchase the game again when it gets released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. But in order to do that the updated game has to offer something new, and that may come in the form of a first-person mode.
What changes gamers can expect to see in the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions. The answer includes reference to the extra performance on offer meaning increased draw distance, more texture detail, denser traffic, and a higher resolution. There will also be new jobs, weapons, vehicles, properties, and customizations in GTA Online. PC gamers will also be getting a video editor for movie-making.
The big new feature is a first-person mode. You will be able to walk around the world in first-person mode whenever you like. This mode also works when driving a car with Rockstar promising “working speedometers, tachometers, dash lights, and more.” How well such a mode works is unclear, but Rockstar wouldn’t include it if they didn’t think it added something new/extra.
GTA 5 launches for PS4 and Xbox One on November 18.
