5. Vinewood Boulevard Radio
Ensuring that GTA V is going to remain eclectic despite a setting that so clearly lends itself to the rap genre above all others, Vinewood Boulevard Radio is to be a contemporary rock music station, hosted by Stephen Pope and Nate Williams from the band Wavves.
From the sample, Bass Drum of Death’s Crawling After You stands out as a particularly energetic tune that’ll be great fun for racing along the Los Santos streets, leaving the cops trailing in the dust (hopefully). The anti-establishment commentary from Pope and Williams should function as a hilarious satire of stereotypical rock music tropes. Here’s the full track list below, along with the sample:
The Black Angels – Black Grease
Sam Flax – Fire Doesn’t Burn Itself
Metz – Wet Blanket
Ceremony – Hysteria
Bass Drum of Death – Crawling After You

Thee Oh Sees – The Dream
Hot Snakes – This Mystic Decade
4. West Coast Classics
DJ Pooh’s commitment to the GTA franchise and this culture in general is well-documented; he not only co-wrote the classic hood comedy Friday, but he also starred in it as Red, and was a co-producer and writer on San Andreas.
Sure to be one of the most popular musical radio stations in GTA V, West Coast Classics seems to be exactly what it says on the tin, boasting classics such as Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s Still D.R.E. and The Next Episode. No other station in the game is probably going to make cruising around the projects seem so cool, especially if a drive-by is involved.

Compton’s Most Wanted – Late Nite Hype
3. Rebel Radio
Surely a favourite radio station of demented hick protagonist Trevor – given that it’s aimed at “Blaine County hillbillies”, and has been referred to as “outlaw country” music – Rebel Radio seems to capture that rowdy Southern spirit by way of the likes of Johnny Paycheck, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings.
The decision to appoint the Dancing Outlaw himself, Jesco White, as the host, will certainly imbue this station with a crazy spirit, even if it’s not the first genre of music we might associate with Los Santos.
Ozark Mountain Daredevils – If You Wanna Get To Heaven
Hank Snow – I Don’t Hurt Anymore
Johnny Paycheck – It Won’t Be Long (And I’ll Be Hating You)
Johnny Cash – General Lee

Waylon Jennings – I Ain’t Living Long Like this
Waylon Jennings – Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way

2. Fly LoFM
FlyLo FM will be hosted and mixed by Flying Lotus, and feature a host of new hip hop tracks, including Garbage by Tyler, the Creator, new FlyLo tunes, and even one from his alter ego, Captain Murphy.
FlyLo’s commanding vocal presence makes him a great a choice for a GTA radio host, and it’s clear from how much he is contributing to this station musically that he has poured a lot of himself into the final result. I can’t wait to hear it.
Flying Lotus feat. Niki Randa – Getting There
Clams Casino – Crystals

1. East Los FM
And last but certainly not least in our radio station preview, we have East Los FM, hosted by a combination of Don Cheto and Camilo Lara.
In accurately depicting the demographics of Los Santos – given that, obviously, it is based closely on Los Angeles – it makes sense to include a Latino music station, and it’s clear from this sample that the flavour is distinctly that; vibrant, energetic and sure to be an amusing accompaniment to any mission.
Los Buitres De Culiacan Sinaloa – El Cocaino
Mexican Institute of Sound – Estoy
La Vida Boehme – Radio Capital
