GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Mix Tape Will Be Released On Actual Cassette

Marvel has announced that they will be releasing Guardians of the Galaxy‘s “Awesome Mix Vol. 1” on Vinyl through Mondo. Marvel and the Disney Music Group will release the soundtrack on a limited-edition cassette tape!

You will be able to purchase one of these tapes between November 17th and December 31st at independent retailers. The tape features all twelve songs from the soundtrack, with six tracks on each side. It’s designed to look exactly like the tape that Peter Quill’s mom gave to him at the beginning of the movie.

This will actually be the very first tape that they will have released since 2003.
