Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water Release Date is Here

Fox Searchlight Pictures has revealed a release date for The Shape of Water, it is the latest creation from the Academy Award-nominated director Guillermo del Toro.

The film stars Sally Hawkins, Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins, Doug Jones, Golden Globe nominee Michael Stuhlbarg, and Octavia Spencer.

The Shape of Water is an other-worldly fairy tale, set against the backdrop of Cold War-era America circa 1963. In the secret high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Hawkins) is trapped in a life of silence and isolation. Elisa’s life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) find a secret classified experiment.

Del Toro directs the film and co-wrote it with Vanessa Taylor (Game of Thrones, Divergent). Opening in North American theaters on December 8, 2017.
