HBO’s Japanese Series MISS SHERLOCK Trailer is Here!

HBO has released the first trailer for their upcoming Japanese series Miss Sherlock, it is a complete re-imagining of the classic character Sherlock Holmes. The latest vision of the popular detective comes in the style of a modern day a British-born Japanese woman and she is played by Yuko Takeuchi (The Ring).

We’ve seen a lot of variants of Holmes over the years, and this one looks like it could be seriously awesome! The trailer starts off with a comedic tone, but then it takes a dark turn. This looks like it will tell some mad intense stories filled with all kinds of random twists and turns. I love the trailer and I am all in for this show.

Here is the official synopsis for Miss Sherlock:

The show follows the British-born Miss Sherlock Holmes to Japan, where she meets Dr. Wato Tachibana, a surgeon who has just returned from a medical mission in Syria. The two women spark a friendship and become partners in solving peculiar, perplexing crimes. MISS SHERLOCK retains the essential qualities of Sherlock Holmes, as the investigators employ insightful observation and reasoning skills in their new incarnation as strong women.

Miss Sherlock will be available to HBO’s U.S. subscribers on September 1, 2018.
