HBO’s highly anticipated third season of True Detective got another cast member, Stephen Dorff has joined the cast of the show. It is a brilliant anthology crime series, and it’s awesome to see Dorff got a lead role in the show. I loved the first two season of the show and I am sure this season won’t disappoint either.
Dorff will play a character named Roland West, he’s described as “an Arkansas State Investigator who, along with his partner, has his life and career influenced over three decades by a baffling crime.” His partner, Wayne Hays, will be played by the previously cast Mahershala Ali.
Carmen Ejogo also stars in the series and will play Amelia Reardon, “an Arkansas schoolteacher with a connection to two missing children in 1980.” All we really know about the story so far is that it will revolve around a dark crime in the heart of the Ozarks, and “a mystery that deepens over decades and plays out in three separate time periods.”
