The new James Bond movie, No Time To Die, is the last time that we’ll see Daniel Craig as the James Bond. After that, the role will be reinvented once again with a new actor playing who will be playing the character. Henry Cavill certainly has what it takes to be Bond, and Cavill himself would like to play the role of the iconic agent.
During a recent interview with GQ, Cavill said:
“At this stage, it’s all up in the air. We’ll see what happens. But yes, I would love to play Bond, it would be very, very exciting. If Barbara [Broccoli] and [producer Michael G. Wilson] were interested in that, I would absolutely jump at the opportunity.”
Cavill already did audition for the role of 2006’s Casino Royale. He was 22-years-old at the time, but he didn’t make the cut, and Craig is the actor who actually got the role. When talking about that event, Cavill told Men’s Health in 2019:
“I remember the director, Martin Campbell, saying, ‘Looking a little chubby there, Henry’. I didn’t know how to train or diet. And I’m glad Martin said something, because I respond well to truth. It helps me get better.”
