Saban Films has unleashed the trailer for a “bone-chilling, supernatural thriller” that is called So Cold the River. It’s based on the book by Michael Koryta, and the story is about a documentary filmmaker named Erica who’s “hired to profile a reclusive, dying millionaire becomes obsessed with her subject and uncovers the shocking secrets his hometown wanted buried, unleashing an evil force with devastating consequences.”
As Erica is examining the past of the billionaire, she meets one of his children and learns of a family curse of bizarre suicides and deaths. She also starts consuming an old antique bottle filled with water from a local spring and she starts to have terrifying visions and unleashes an indescribable evil.
The movie was directed by Paul Shoulberg, and it looks like an entertaining and spooky horror movie. The movie stars Bethany Joy Lenz, Katie Sarife, Deanna Dunagan, Andrew J. West, & Alysia Reiner.
So Cold the River will be released in select US theaters and on VOD starting March 25th, 2022.
