Directed by first-time filmmaker Bishal Dutta, the movie promises to be a bone-chilling experience for horror fans. The plot of It Lives Inside revolves around a character named Sam, who is desperate to fit in at school and has rejected her Indian culture and family to be like everyone else. The filmmaker’s inspiration for this movie comes from his own childhood experience of being born in India before immigrating to America. The story is heavily influenced by Indian demonic legends and a very personal family story from Dutta’s grandfather. The original screenplay was penned by Dutta based on a story by Dutta and Ashish Mehta.
