Huawei P20 Pro vs. Apple iPhone X, Everything You Need To Know

Huawei P20 Pro vs. Apple iPhone X

Performance and Battery

The P20 Pro comes with Huawei’s Kirin 970 processor. It comes with a powerful Neural Processing Unit (NPU), which will handle all the artificial intelligence (A.I.) operations so the processor can keep up with its tasks. The device is loaded with 6GB of RAM.

Apple’s iPhone X comes with a super cool A11 Bionic chip, but it has just 3GB of RAM. In many benchmarks, and in real-world use, the iPhone X is way faster. You can argue about how much RAM a smartphone needs, but Android and iOS devices memory management differently, So comparing black and white won’t get us anywhere.

The Huawei P20 Pro comes with a 128GB of storage, and without a MicroSD card slot for expansion. The iPhone X have different variants, Apple offers 64GB or 256GB models, and once again, there’s no MicroSD card slot for expansion.

Now the most important thing in a smartphone, the battery life, P20 Pro has a 4,000mAh battery, and again iPhone X comes last with only 2,716mAh battery. P20 Pro doesn’t support wireless charging, though it does offer Huawei’s SuperCharge fast charging via a cable. The iPhone X does support wireless charging and it can charge quickly but we don’t recommend using wireless charging for the iPhone X some problems surfaced when you charge your phone with the wireless chargers. Read more before you start using a wireless charger for your iPhone X, but you’ll need to buy a charger and cable which is capable of fast charging, but in the other hand, the fast charger comes with the box in your P20 Pro.

DISPLAY

The P20 Pro comes with a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a 2 240 x 1080 pixel screen resolution. The Apple iPhone X has a 5.8-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 2436 x 1125 pixels. Both screens are simply brilliant no contest there, using basically the same tech. Apple’s iPhone X screen is sharper at 458 pixels per inch (PPI), matched to 408ppi in the P20 Pro, but the P20 Pro has a little bit larger screen.

CAMERA

Smartphone cameras have come a long way in these few years and now they are threatening the DSLR cameras. Huawei took the camera to the next level with the P20 Pro with three lenses: There’s a 40-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 20-megapixel monochrome lens. This is a serious camera phone that has no problem in low-light conditions, and capable of remarkable portraits with blurred backgrounds, and took an incredible level of detail in the photos.

iPhone X combines two 12-megapixel lenses. As cameras continue to develop, it’s becoming harder to accurately pick the best, but the iPhone X camera stands up tall in direct comparisons with phones like the Galaxy S9 Plus and Pixel 2 XL.

The P20 Pro has a 24-megapixels selfie camera, while the iPhone X comes with a moderate 7-megapixel selfie camera.
