The story follows a boy named Mowgli who is raised by animals in the Indian jungle, where he befriends a bear and panther and is hunted by a vicious tiger. Elba is going to be pretty awesome in this role, especially with his voice. The guy is perfect.

The script for the Jungle Book is being written by Justin Marks (The Raven, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea), and it’s set to go into production next year.
