Jordan Peele

Jordan Peele is one of the famous and most wanted filmmakers in Hollywood right now because of blockbuster Get Out. In 1995 the actor and director produced and starred in an anti-smoking ad for student advocates who were looking to make America a smoke-free country by the year 2000.

This short PSA breaks down why smoking is harmful to people and offers advice for kids on how to deal with the problem. At one point Peele offers an example:

“Kids in one Massachusetts town used to buy cigarettes for machines like this but four school girls put a stop to that by learning about the legislative process and demanding change. …it all started with their teacher who taught the girls about tobacco and the danger cigarettes posed to their friends and family knowing many kids get cigarettes from machines they made a decision to do something about it.”
