INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3 – Got a Release Date and Director

Wan will not be back to direct Insidious: Chapter 3. Instead it will be helmed by Leigh Whannell, who is the guy who wrote the first two films. He also co-created the Saw franchise with Wan.

So all in all the third movie of the franchise will have the different flavor of the screams and chills!

Insidious: Chapter 3 will be the first feature film that Whannell will direct.

The first two movies starred Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, and Lin Shaye and the story centered on a family dealing with a demonic possession. There’s no information on who will be back for the third film or what the story will entail.

Film will start shooting this summer on July 7th, and it will be released in theaters on April 3rd, 2015.
