Intense First Trailer for Sam Mendes’s WWI Movie 1917

1917

Universal Pictures has released an incredible intense first trailer for director Sam Mendes’s upcoming World War I movie 1917, and it seems like an intense edge-of-your-seat thriller, it looks pretty intense. I like watching historical war movies and this one is going be solid war movie for sure. We don’t see many movies that made on the subject of WWI, so I’m really thrilled to see that this ended up getting made.

Mendes is the very filmmaker that made Skyfall, Spectre, American Beauty, and Road to Perdition. He also brought on a fabulous cast to star in the movie and that cast includes Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Richard Madden, George MacKay, Dean-Charles Chapman, and Andrew Scott.

Here is the synopsis for the movie:

At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers, Schofield (Captain Fantastic’s George MacKay) and Blake (Game of Thrones’ Dean-Charles Chapman) are given a seemingly impossible mission. In a race against time, they must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers—Blake’s own brother among them.

1917 will get a limited release on December 25th, 2019 and then it will release worldwide on January 10th, 2020.
