James Cameron’s 4 AVATAR Movies Get New Release Dates

Director James Cameron has announced the new release date for his four Avatar sequels. Avatar 2 is set for December 18, 2020, Avatar 3 will hit December 17, 2021, Avatar 4 is coming on December 20, 2024, and Avatar 5 will be released on December 19, 2025.

Cameron has been taking his sweet time developing these film to make sure they are exactly what he wants them to be and how audiences wants them to be. He’s obviously not rushing these films into production.

The news about the films was announced on the movie’s official Facebook page today and it came along with a picture of Cameron and his crew releasing the following statement:

“Great to be working with the best team in the business! Avatar takes flight as we begin concurrent production on four sequels.”

The first Avatar film made $2.8 billion at the box office and there is no new news made public about the upcoming movies.
