James Gunn Talks About Star-Lord Meeting His Dad in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is spreading excitement all over the place and fans are loving all the new and exciting information. Not much is know at this time but main thing is, it will focus on is Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) meeting his father Ego the Living Planet (Kurt Russell) for the first time.

In a recent interview with USA Today, director James Gunn talked about what it’s like for Star-Lord to meet his dad for the first time ever, saying:

“It runs the gamut of emotions for him, wanting to understand why his father wasn’t around to quickly idolizing him and ultimately learning the reality of the relationship and comparing the man who sired him to the man who raised him.”

Gunn also talks about the Guardians team that consists of Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (voice of Bradley Cooper) and kid Groot (voice of Vin Diesel), and how they will stand together and form a team.

“To let somebody love you is a very difficult thing, especially when you’re damaged goods. And all of the Guardians are damaged goods.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 comes out on May 5th!
