Peacock got the distribution rights to STXfilms’ mystery thriller drama which is called My Son, and they’ve released the first trailer for the movie. The film is a remake of the hit 2017 French film of the same name and the director of that original film, Christian Carion, dire the English-language remake.
The movie stars James McAvoy and Claire Foy, and the story follows a father who is desperately trying to find his son who’s been kidnapped. It’s been told that McAvoy improvising all of his scenes in the film. He wasn’t given a script or any dialogue to read, he was only given the basic features of his story, so he had to invent and react to each scene as it unfolded while they were shooting. The rest of the cast knew what was going on.
In the movie, “Driving in the heart of the Highlands, Edmond Murray (McAvoy) receives a call from his ex-wife (Foy), in tears. Their 7-year-old son went missing from a campsite. Soon it becomes clear that the child was kidnapped and the parents give way to despair.”
It looks like an intense thriller and it will be available to watch on Peacock Wednesday, September 15th.
