James Wan’s SWAMP THING Will Start Filming This Year

SWAMP THING

Fans are excited for Swamp Thing and it is a valuable addition to DC Universe. There is no release date is given, I think it will launch in 2019. Especially as Omega Underground is now reporting that the series is set to begin filming this fall in North Carolina. Not much is filmed in North Carolina, but that could work in Swamp Thing’s favor as it could allow for a more flexible schedule.

Swamp Thing will be executive produced by James Wan and Michael Clear and written by Mark Verheiden and Gary Dauberman. Here’s the official description of the show:

“When CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland — only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous — and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.”
