Jon Watts’ STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW Series Details Starring Jude Law

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

Lucasfilm officially revealed the new Star Wars series that’s being developed by Spider-Man trilogy director Jon Watts. The project is called Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and Jude Law are starring in the new series, how incredible is that!

Skeleton Crew will take place in the post-Return of the Jedi era alongside The Mandalorian. It’s been defined as ”a galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.”

It was also revealed that the story will follow ten years old from a little planet, and they end up getting lost in the Star Wars galaxy. It sounds like an entertaining story and when Watts came on stage to talk a little bit about the series, he explained that even though the series is about kids, it isn’t really a kid’s show. He said: “It stars four kids, but it’s not a kids show.”

Dave Filoni also said the Star Wars shows, including this one, will all intertwine in “weird ways.” What exactly that means remains to be seen.

A casting call is currently out “for four children, around 11 to 12 years old” to cast the other roles in the series.
