Jonah Hill Turned Down The Role of a Villain in THE BATMAN

Jonah Hill

Rumors have been making rounds around the casting of director Matt Reeves’s The Batman. Robert Pattinson is securely in place as the Caped Crusader, and we know Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) is got the role of Commissioner Gordon. We get to know earlier this week that Zoe Kravitz (Big Little Lies) is taking on Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman. All we now need is a badass villain.

The rumor is Jonah Hill (Superbad, Maniac) was in talks to board the movie in the role of a villain, either Penguin or Riddler. Fans were fast to assume he would take on the Penguin role, as that is more fitted to his personality, but we thought it could go either way, and I thought he would make a brililant addition to the movie.

Now officially Hill has turned down the movie and won’t be taking any role. That’s bad news, but Variety reported that sources close to the actor said that he turned down the movie very early on in negotiations, and it never got so far as to offer the role or the movie.

Who do you think would be a good match for Penguin and Riddler’s villainous role?
