The hearts of fans of the Jurassic Park franchise will be skipping a beat after the announcement of an exciting opportunity for two lucky people. Hollywood ace Chris Pratt, star of the 2015 Jurassic World movie, has revealed a competition for fans to enter ahead of the third iteration of the Jurassic World series, Dominion. Jurassic World 3 is tipped to be bolder and hungrier than the last, particularly if this #AllinChallenge is anything to go by.
Fans are being given the chance to enter for a chance to be ‘eaten’ by a dinosaur on the set of Jurassic World 3. Two lucky fans will be able to experience life on-set, meet the cast, and most importantly, become “immortalized in cinematic history” by being eaten by a dinosaur within the movie. There are two ways people can enter the competition – one is via sweepstake and the other is via an online auction.
Most importantly, #AllinChallenge is designed to raise money for charity. Powered by official partner Fanatics, the competition is targeted at US-based fans, giving entrants the chance to donate to provide food to the people who need it. 100% of the funds raised during this initiative will be given to Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry, and Meals On Wheels organizations.
For just $10, Jurassic Park fans can donate to get ten entries to win the “dino-mite fan experience”. Entrants can donate up to $100 to give themselves more entries and opportunities to win with a $100 donation bagging a maximum of 200 entries per person. The winner will receive a free airline ticket and a two-night hotel stay near to the Jurassic World 3 movie set.
It has been officially confirmed that Isabelle Sermon will be joining the likes of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in the cast of Dominion. There were a lot of talks that the original Jurassic Park cast might reunite in Jurassic World 3 and it’s exciting to finally hear that Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neill will also be a part of the third installment of the revamped franchise.
Pratt recently discussed his feelings towards Dominion in an interview and compared the upcoming release to Marvel’s Endgame, because it’s “got pretty much everybody [from across the franchise] in it”. Pratt’s comparisons with Endgame suggest that Dominion is likely to wrap things up neatly, just like Marvel achieved with Endgame.
We now know that Jurassic World 3 will be officially released on 11 June 2021. It’s also exciting to know that Steven Spielberg – the brains behind the original Jurassic Park movie – will act as an executive producer alongside Colin Trevorrow for the franchise’s sixth and final film.
Jurassic World is one of those unique movie franchises with genuine staying power. The original Jurassic Park film was released 27 years ago and, for more than a generation, this infamous wildlife park has brought drama and chaos to our screens – in more ways than one.
In fact, the Jurassic World franchise has managed to maintain its suspense and intrigue across a host of other entertainment sectors. The rapid advancement of high-definition visuals and audio in online casino gaming has enabled developers like IGT to create slots based around the original trilogy, with DNA strands filling to trigger the exciting 3D bonus rounds. There have been dozens of other video games too, spanning games consoles and desktop PC. For instance, The Lost World: Jurassic Park saw games released on nine separate platforms.
Jurassic Park has also become immensely popular among adventure strategy board game enthusiasts. Ravensburger’s Jurassic Park: Danger! boardgame caters for fans aged ten and over, taking players on a chaotic adventure around Isla Nublar. Netflix also recognized the potential for bringing to Jurassic Park franchise to a younger generation more recently, opting to launch an animated television series from DreamWorks Animation. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous will be another long-awaited addition to the franchise, this time based around a group of unwitting teenagers landing on the dinosaur-infested land of Isla Nublar.
