Netflix has revealed the first trailer for their wonderful and exciting looking new movie The Highwaymen. The movie stars Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson as two Texas Rangers who are tracking down the legendary outlaws Bonnie and Clyde.
The movie comes from director John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) and I like what I’m seeing in this trailer. It just looks like an all-around excellent movie and as someone who is into this kind of history, I’m looking forward to seeing how this movie dramatizes these events. Costner and Harrelson seem like they make a great onscreen team, though!
This is the synopsis that was released for the film:
THE HIGHWAYMEN follows the untold true story of the legendary lawmen who brought down Bonnie and Clyde. When the full force of the FBI and the latest forensic technology aren’t enough to capture the nation’s most notorious criminals, two former Texas Rangers (Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson) must rely on their gut instincts and old school skills to get the job done.
The Highwaymen also stars Kathy Bates, John Carroll Lynch, and Kim Dickens. It’s set to be released in select theaters starting on March 15th, then streaming on Netflix starting March 29th.
