Krypton: First Trailer For The Superman Prequel is Here!

Syfy‘s upcoming DC Comics series Krypton released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming show, a prequel show set two generations before the planet’s destruction.

The Krypton series will follow Superman’s grandfather — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. The Seg-El name is both a nod to Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel and a reference to John Byrne’s 1980s miniseries, “The World of Krypton.”

Cameron Cuffe will play Seg-El, Superman’s grandfather. The cast also includes Georgina Campbell as Lyta Zod, part of Krypton’s military caste and daughter of General Alura Zod. Seg-El and Lyta Zod are in the midst of a secret, forbidden relationship.
