Jon Favreau’s 2014 movie Chef was a delicious movie, to say the least, It was brilliant in every way and it was an under-appreciated movie. It’s a much smaller film than Favreau’s big studio efforts, but that’s the point: the whole thing is a metaphor for making the kind of low-budget, homegrown films that inspire passion, and not something came out of an assembly line or from some predictable script.
