The announcement by LEGO regarding their plans to celebrate Star Wars Day has stirred up a lot of excitement among fans of the popular franchise. Rather than limiting the celebrations to just May 4, the company has decided to extend the festivities for an entire week, from May 1-7. During this time, LEGO will be releasing a range of Star Wars-themed products, including dioramas of the Endor Speeder Chase and Emperor’s Throne Room, the Pirate Snub Fighter, and the Executor Super Star Destroyer. However, the highlight of the event is undoubtedly the new Ultimate Collector Series X-Wing Starfighter.

This stunning new set, which carries the model number 75355, will retail for $239.99 and consists of an impressive 1,949 pieces along with two minifigures. Builders will be able to assemble a highly detailed X-Wing with an opening cockpit that can accommodate the R2-D2 droid figure, and adjustable wings that can be moved between flight mode and attack mode. The wings can be adjusted via a dial located on top of the X-Wing, adding a realistic touch to the finished model. Once completed, the X-Wing measures approximately 11 inches in height, 18 inches in width, and 22 inches in depth.

To sweeten the deal, LEGO’s online store is offering buyers a range of exciting freebies during the week-long event. On purchases over $40, customers can receive the X-Wing Starfighter (model #30654). For purchases exceeding $150, buyers will get the Death Star II (model #40591). Additionally, LEGO VIP members can receive a Star Wars: Return of the Jedi 40th Collectible by making purchases of over $85. VIP members also earn double VIP points on select LEGO Star Wars sets.

If the wait for the Star Wars week is too long, you can get started on your LEGO Star Wars collection with other exciting items such as the Millennium Falcon and AT-AT. With so many fantastic options to choose from, the possibilities for creativity and building are endless. What are you most excited to add to your LEGO Star Wars collection?
