Look at Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag

Assassin's Creed IV

The successor the Assassin’s Creed 3, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black is due out on October 29th for the PS3 and Xbox 360. AC4 follows the story of a new assassin known as Edward Kenway, grandfather of Connor the hero from Assassin’s Creed 3. Set in the 1715’s in the Caribbean across multiple islands. Our hero Kenway is a swashbuckling, pirate assassin who has his very own pirate ship and a number of historical figures as comrades and foes; Such as Blackbeard, Charles Vane, Benjamin Hornigold to name just a few.

The new set of the Caribbean includes playable areas in Kingston, Havana and Nassau as well as the beautiful Caribbean Ocean that will be completely explorable via Kenway’s Ship the Jackdaw. Tons of underwater locations and smaller islands can be found across the world map that will no doubt bring plenty of joyous treasures.

A big part of the assassin’s creed series was the modern day story of Desmond, but Assassins Creed 4 focuses on a research analyst from company Abstergo Industry who are exploring the memories of Kenway.

New Combat Features

A popular feature of the AC3 games was the Naval Combat system and most likely why Assassin’s Creed IV has turned to piracy. The Naval Combat is more complex with a bunch of new weapons, enemies, challenges and a completely new progression system that will unlock a number of customisable for your ship.

When your not sailing your vessel there are plenty of weapons to choose from, of course there are the signature pirates weapons, the cutlass and pistols. Other weapons include a poison blowgun that can take out enemies from a distance without a sound. The hidden blades will no doubt be making there returns, the assassins weapon of choice.

A Completely new underwater has also been developed for fighting off sharks and other marine predators. It seems much of the games emphasis has been place on this underwater world with hundreds of different types of fish and breath taking coral reefs.

The economy system that was introduced in AC3 is also returning, but has been reworked. Obviously your main income will be plundering and looting to acquire more resources that will allow you to kit out your character and ship. But to boost profits Kenway can send members of his fleet to trade resources, such as sending a ship to trade sugar in Africa. The economy system is much cleaner and simpler, as upgrading your ship is a key part of progressing through the games missions.

Console Launch Dates

Assassins Creed 3 Launches for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October the 29th, the Nintendo Wii U Gamers will have to wait until the PS4 and Xbox One launch on November the 22nd until they can pick up their copy and the same goes for the PC version.
