Love Actually is getting a new sequel and the whole cast is onboard with the project. The movie was an instant hit back in the day but there are those who believe the movie is a fun romantic comedy and then there were those who think it’s completely lacking in charm and features offensive treatment of its female characters and they were quite offended by the movie.
Cast was talented and everyone played their part very well, Star cast includes some big names like Liam Neeson, Keira Knightley, Hugh Grant, Bill Nighy, Andrew Lincoln, and Alan Rickman.
Deadline is reporting, that the cast is reuniting for a 10-minute short film for a charity event called Red Nose Day for BBC One, and writer/director Curtis is back as the writer and director of this follow-up. ‘
He said about the project:
“I would never have dreamt of writing a sequel to Love Actually, but I thought it might be fun to do 10 minutes to see what everyone is now up to. Who has aged best? I guess that’s the big question … or is it so obviously Liam? We’ve been delighted and grateful that so many of the cast are around and able to take part — and it’ll certainly be a nostalgic moment getting back together and re-creating their characters 14 years later. We hope to make something that’ll be fun — very much in the spirit of the original film and of Red Nose Day — and which we hope will help bring lots of viewers and cash to the Red Nose Day shows.”
The short film will air on March 24 on BBC One in the UK and on March 25 on NBC in the United States. I love the movie and I am so excited to watch the sequel of it no matter how small.
