Lucasfilm’s Han Solo Movie is in Production

Co-director Chris Miller released a new image on Twitter. Production of the Han Solo movie is officially begun image also revealed the film’s shooting name: Red Cup (a play on the lead character’s name).

Story will focus on how young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley. It has been confirmed that Chewbacca will also be a featured character in the film.

The film includes Alden Ehrenreich as the title scoundrel, with Woody Harrelson as Solo’s mentor, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, and an undisclosed role for Emilia Clarke!

Han Solo movie will hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
