Actor Idris Elba did some great TV series like The Wire, and Luther. It has been a couple of years since Luther wrapped its fifth season, but now a movie is in the works, and it is set to start shooting this September.

The follow-up film has been long-rumored and highly anticipated by all fans of the wonderful series, and was confirmed by the actor last summer, when he told press at the BAFTA Awards, “With film, the sky is the limit. You can be a little bit bolder with the storylines. And a little bit more international, and a little more up the scale. But John Luther is always going to be John Luther.”

He told Variety this week, “We go into production, fingers crossed, in September. I’m so excited about it, it’s been a long time coming.”
