Apple TV+ has published a new trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s eerie psychological horror series Servant.
The story is based on a Philadelphia couple, played by Lauren Ambrose and Toby Kebbell, who is grieving after a tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and unlocks the door for a mysterious force, in the body of a nanny, to come into their home. The tragedy is the death of their 13-week-old baby, and to help them handle the whole event, they are given a Reborn Doll, which is meant to help to mourn parents cope with an unexpected loss like this.
They hired a nanny to watch over the doll, but as it happens, the nanny they got comes with some strange and mysterious secrets of her own. The new season “takes a supernatural turn. As Leanne returns to the brownstone and her true nature is revealed, a darker future for all lies ahead.”
It’s been an exceptional viewing experience and if you haven’t seen it yet, I recommend that you should give it a go, I’ve enjoyed how this story plays out. It’s packed with exciting twists and turns that you don’t see coming, and I just like stories like this that play with your head.
The series was created by Tony Basgallop, and it stars Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Toby Kebbell (Kong: Skull Island, Black Mirror), Nell Tiger Free (Game of Thrones), and Rupert Grint (Harry Potter). They will all be reprising their characters in Season 2.
Servant Season 2 will come with ten new episodes, and it will air on Apple TV+ on January 15, 2021.
