Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige today tweeted the following congratulatory message to the makers of the film, not least of which includes his Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt. The artwork is by Marvel conceptual designer Andy Park.

There is actually a fun history when it comes to congratulations letters like this? When Star Wars overtook Jaws‘ box office in 1977, Steven Spielberg graciously ran a full page letter in Variety. Lucas returned the favor when, in 1983, E.T. overtook Star Wars in home video rentals. After the Special Edition re-release in 1997, Star Wars was back on top and E.T. himself handed the crown to R2-D2. Then, in 1998, Titanic became the biggest film of all time and Lucas passed the torch to James Cameron.
