Metal Gear Survive is a game that takes place in the timeline right after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.

So remember all the soldiers that got left behind when Boss and Ocelot escaped? Those people were transported to an alternate dimension where they have to fight against these weird zombie crystal people and maybe Metal Gear. It’s just easier if you watch for yourself.
