Michael Fassbender

We didn’t heard much about Ridley Scott‘s Alien: Covenant and we still don’t really know the main details of the story yet. Just a lot of bits and pieces of information.

Today we have some new information about Michael Fassbender‘s artificial person character . He’s not playing the same character that he played in Prometheus. That character’s name was David. In this film the character’s name is Walter, and in a recent interview with Comingsoon, the actor offered up some new details on Walter.

“I think Walter’s a real different kettle of fish. David was definitely a work-in-progress, somewhat of a prototype I suppose. The elements of him that were the human elements I think people found a little disturbing, so Walter’s more of a straightforward robot. Pretty logical, much more of a servant without the ego.”

“Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”

There are still so much we don’t know about and only speculate at this time, the upcoming movie will give many answers which were left behind in the first movie, but one thing is for sure this movie will be really epic.

The cast of the film also includes Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Jussie Smolett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez, and Billy CrudupNoomi Rapace is also expected to come back to her role as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, and James Franco is said to have a role in the film as the Captain of the Covenant ship.

Alien: Covenant opens in theaters on October 6, 2017.
