MOGUL MOWGLI Trailer Riz Ahmed Star as Rising British-Pakistani Hip Hop Star

Riz Ahmed

Academy Award-nominated actor Riz Ahmed new movie is coming out and it is called Mogul Mowgli, and here we have its trailer for you to check out. The movie “is described as a bold, vital and electrifying exploration of heritage and identity. The film centers around British Pakistani rapper Zed, who is a rising star on the cusp of his first world tour. But, struck down by an illness that threatens to derail his big break, he’s forced to confront his past, his family, and the uncertainty of his legacy.”

If this seems familiar, that’s because it is essentially the same plot of Ahmed’s last movie, the Oscar-winning picture Sound of Metal, which follows a heavy-metal drummer whose life is thrown into freefall when he starts to lose his hearing.

Ahmed is a brilliant actor, and this does amazing. Hopefully, it strikes differently enough that fans will be able to distinguish the movies. Mogul Mowgli will open in New York and Los Angeles theaters on September 3rd. Check out the trailer below.
