MORBIUS Featurette ‘The Lore Of Moribus’ Talks About Vampire Anti-Hero

Sony Pictures has unleashed a new exciting featurette for its upcoming Marvel movie Morbius. Jared Leto features in the video and talks about the lore of the anti-hero and how he’s adopted the role.

Morbius is a fascinating character in the Marvel Universe. The guy is a Vampire and he has conflicted motivations. Leto says in the video: “There’s something about the character that stokes people’s imaginations and really can grab a hold of you.”

The movie follows Michael Morbius, “a scientist who suffered from a rare blood disease and attempted to cure himself to disastrous results. Instead of being cured, he became afflicted with a condition that was a form of vampirism — the thirst for blood, along with fangs and super strength — and fought Spider-Man. Over time, however, he became a slightly heroic figure in his own right and even headlined his own comic book titles.”

The rest of the cast includes Jared Harris in the film along with Adria Arjona as Martine Bancroft, who was engaged to Morbius before he accidentally turned himself into a vampire. She ends up becoming a potential victim as Morbius learns to cope with his insatiable bloodlust. Matt Smith is also in the movie and plays Loxias Crown, and Tyrese Gibson is in the movie. Michael Keaton is also back as Vulture, which will be awesome and exciting to see.
