Jake Gyllenhaal‘s Quentin Beck a.k.a. Mysterio was tracking Tom Holland’s Peter Parker before they were formally introduced by “Nick Fury”. Beck was working on a plan early on in an effort to get all the info he needed to improve and pull off his big con.
Gyllenhaal teased the scene in a photo he posted on Instagram with a note that says, “This isn’t just a sexy dad outfit. It’s my favorite look from Spider-Man: FFH 👀 closer🧢 #wheresbeck”
Then a fan went on the hunt to try and find Beck in the movie where this outfit, which he completely did! As you’ll see in the photos below, Quentin Beck was right behind Peter in Venice as he was looking to buy his Black Dahlia necklace for MJ (Zendaya).

That’s a very cool little Easter egg that fans may have never seen if Gyllenhaal didn’t tease it on Insta. I question how many more little Easter Eggs are hidden in the movie after all that we might not know about it still!
