Netflix Cancels Its Horror-Mystery Series 1899 After Only One Season

1899

Netflix has canceled another series after only one season. That series is the horror mystery series 1899, which is set on the ocean in a ship, I have to say the series is not as good as it seems, and it is understandable why they canceled the series.

The series comes from the creators of Dark, Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, and it was defined as a “visually stunning Odyssee where nothing is as it seems.” The series is set in the year 1899 aboard Kerberos. “On their journey across the vast and treacherous Atlantic Ocean, the passengers of the Kerberos encounter the biggest mystery of their lives.”

Co-creators Odar and Friese announced the news on Instagram, saying:

“With a heavy heart we have to tell you that ‘1899’ will not be renewed. We would have loved to finish this incredible journey with a second and third season as we did with ‘Dark.’ But sometimes things don’t turn out the way you planned. That’s life.

“We know this will disappoint millions of fans out there. But we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts that you were a part of this wonderful adventure. We love you. Never forget.”
