Netflix’s new Indian horror-thriller series from Blumhouse called Betaal. The story focuses on a police squad that ignorantly releases a horde of blood-thirsty zombies.
Evil is eternal. From the makers of ‘Get Out’, ‘Insidious’, ‘Bard of Blood’, and ‘Ghoul’ comes another boundary-pushing and genre-elevating horror series. While on a mission to displace the natives of Campa forest in order to build a highway, Sirohi and his squad unwittingly unleash the curse of Betaal mountain that wreaks havoc on the people and threatens to end civilization as we know it.
The series comes from writer and director Patrick Graham, and it was co-directed by Nikhil Mahajan, and co-written by Suhani Kanwar. This is the same team that created Arabic folklore monster movie Ghoul.
The series looks brilliant! The production value looks solid, the setting is unusual, and zombies in the series look fabulous!
Betaal premieres on Netflix on May 24, 2020.\
