Netflix is Making a $25 Million Female Action Film Called KATE

Netflix has tremendous plans for 2018 as they plan on spending $8 billion on content that includes 80 original feature films. According to Deadline, one of those films is a female action film called Kate and they plan on spending $25 million to produce it.

Kate is described is a hardcore action thriller with a female lead that sources said is nostalgic of Kill Bill and La Femme Nikita. The writer of the film, Umair Aleem, would love to cast Cate Blanchett in the role as the lead character named Lee Marvin, but we’ll have to wait and see if that happens.

Netflix is currently looking for a director and star and they hope to start production in April of 2018.
